Growing up, I didn’t exactly take to reading right away. In fact, I struggled until Grade 3, when my dad and I started reading The Hobbit together every night before bed. He’d read a page, and then I’d try—until one day, I was the one doing all the reading. From there, it was like someone unlocked a door, and I walked into a world of stories. Next came The Lord of the Rings, and then I devoured entire reading lists, from classics to pulp adventures, always hungry for more.
By the time I was 13, I wasn’t just reading stories—I was writing them. Poetry, short stories, sprawling unfinished epics. Writing became my outlet, my obsession, and my way of exploring the worlds in my head. Along the way, my love of musical theatre added another dimension to my storytelling. The drama, emotional intensity, and rhythm of the stage taught me how to craft scenes that feel larger than life, filled with tension and humanity.
As I got older, I started to feel that writing wasn’t enough. I wanted to take the next step—to fully embrace the dream of becoming an author. It wasn’t easy. There were plenty of naysayers, doubts, and roadblocks along the way. But the call to create—this relentless pull to honor my inner artist—was impossible to ignore. So I chose to dedicate myself to this path, to see my stories through to the end, and to prove to myself (and maybe a few others) that the worlds in my mind were worth sharing.
Even as a kid, I couldn’t stop imagining where stories might go. Sometimes, I’d finish the books I was reading in my head before I’d even turned the final page—dreaming up endings, alternate twists, or what might come next. It didn’t take long for that urge to create to spill over into my own storytelling.
It started with homemade comic books, sketched out with all the enthusiasm of a kid convinced they’d stumbled upon the next great superhero saga. Soon after came my first attempts at writing science fiction, full of wild ideas and ambitious worldbuilding. My mind was always spinning—obsessing over characters, crafting intricate settings, and dreaming up conflicts just begging to be explored.
That love of worldbuilding and storytelling never left me. Over the years, it’s evolved into a passion for creating immersive, cinematic stories where readers can lose themselves in vibrant worlds and unforgettable characters. Writing became more than a creative outlet—it became a way to explore the endless “what ifs” that had always driven my imagination.
When I write, it’s like watching a movie unfold in my mind. Every scene, every character interaction, feels cinematic—like a vivid film I’m translating to the page. My love of musical theatre inspires me to bring drama and emotional beats to life, making the stakes feel personal and the characters’ struggles resonate. I love crafting immersive worlds, rich with detail and atmosphere, whether it’s neon-lit cityscapes or fantastical realms.
My influences span everything from timeless classics to modern masterpieces and the unapologetically fun chaos of pulp fiction. At the heart of it all, my goal is to tell stories that linger—whether it’s through a plot twist, a bittersweet ending, or a moment of quiet humanity in the middle of chaos.
